I just got in my Graco Contempo highchair and I already use it more than any other one item. This is a wonderful highchair. I had a different brand with my first child and I wasn't very happy with it. It was bulky and hard to use properly. This if defiantly a product I would recommend to anyone with a new baby. It's also a wonderful gift for a baby shower and the price is better than those of some of the other leading brands.
They have several models of the Graco Contempo highchair to choose from and all of them seem to be great little chairs. I have the Rittenhouse model and it has a lot of neat little features. The weight is about average at 20 pounds and it can hold a child weighing up to 40 pounds. All in all it is really sturdy and safe enough for a younger child as well. It is made with good quality materials and that's why it's a little heavier than some of the other chairs I looked at.
I got mine after seeing the Avalon model that my best friend has for her daughter. It's very similar to mine but hers comes with both a 3 and 5 point harness whereas mine just has the 5 point harness. I prefer the 5 point anyway, I just feel it's safer and I don't worry about my son falling or sliding if I take my eye off him for a moment while I am busy with other things.
I love how easy these are to clean up. Mine doesn't have the cloth seat so you can just use a wet cloth to wipe everything down and let it air dry. The trays are dishwasher safe but the wet cloth is usually sufficient for them as well.
I also liked the fact that no assembly was required. I hate putting things together and always worry I'll do it wrong and it will fall apart on me. This also folds almost completely flat so storage isn't a problem; you can fit it almost anywhere.
The Graco Highchair height is adjustable and it has wheels so you can move it easily. The seat reclines for younger children and it comes with a smaller tray underneath the regular tray that if perfect for a jar of baby food. Coupled with the fact that it is so easy to use it is well worth the price.
